Getting to Know Lisa
Lisa Bruce began her career in the beauty industry in 1982 with a commitment to helping people feel better about themselves and look their best. Her talent as a fine artist, proficiency in electrology, along with her training and demonstrated expertise in cosmetic tattooing, has made her one of the top permanent make-up artists in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With her extensive experience and attention to detail, plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists and dermatologists trust their patients to Lisa. Her skill in cosmetic tattooing includes working with breast cancer patients and burn survivors; minimizing scars from accidents and birth defects; and other corrective work along with eyebrows, eyeliner and full lip color.
Visiting Lisa’s office is a treat to experience. Since permanent cosmetics is a decision not to be taken lightly, her warmth, soothing manner and professionalism make her clients comfortable and confident in their desire to make life simpler by opting for permanent makeup.
Why She Is So Good
Lisa has earned her certification with the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) and follows OSHA regulations as a practitioner. She uses the highest quality pigments, anesthetics and equipment, along with pre-sterilized, disposal needles. She is past-president of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and, at that time, helped edit the National Environmental Health Association and county recommendations for sanitation and sterilization for the tattoo industry. She is currently on the Past Presidents Council of the SPCP. In addition, Lisa is continually updating her skills attending conferences and workshops to study with other top technicians around the country.
Up Close & Personal
When not seeing clients, Lisa is passionate about painting and is currently focusing on botanical watercolors. Her art has been shown all over the San Francisco Bay Area and at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. She has recently finished her term on the board of the Berkeley City Club Conservancy, an architectural preservation foundation to preserve this Julia Morgan landmark.
